The general objective of the DATA-READY project is to enhance data literacy skills in compulsory education across Europe by developing a comprehensive framework, building the capacity of teachers, and promoting evidence-based policies and practices.

Specific objectives

• To map existing practices, policies, and methods related to data literacy education in compulsory education across partner countries.
• To develop a European-wide framework that defines the domains, learning outcomes, and progressions for data literacy skills in compulsory education.
• To enhance the capacity of pre-service (HEI students) and in-service teachers by developing training programs and resources for effectively integrating data literacy concepts into their teaching practices.
• To pilot and experiment with the developed framework and training programs in partner countries, evaluating their effectiveness and gathering evidence-based insights.
• To analyse the results of the experimentation phase and propose policy recommendations for the transferability and sustainable implementation of data literacy education strategies.
• To raise awareness and promote the importance of data literacy education through dissemination activities, social media campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.
