What I'm doing:

I make badges out of several layers of felt. After some experimentation I've figured that three layers is optimum for stiffness on these guys which won't include the detailing that goes on top of the final layer.

The badge backs are standard Nickel plated Steel, 1" long. They are trapped under a layer of felt and then sewn into place because I'm paranoid about these things moving. I make damn sure that's not possible as best I can.

The whites of the eyes are painted on, but the rest is hand sewn. (The paint is acrylic, but I don't guarantee that these badges will survive in the wash.

Please note: These badges are made in a non-smoking home, but I do have a pet. He is not allowed in the room I do all my hand sewing in however.

I'm placing my order for an Iplehouse boy next week to take advantage of their Christmas Event (YAY! I sent a parcel to the US last week and I know that sending a dollfie wig cost me about $3.50-$4.00 and they usually arrive about a week after I send them.

If you have five minutes, can you tell me what part of going on holiday you find hardest? Where have you found difficulty in the past? (about making preparations/travelling/managing at your destination).

I have to design a product to make going on holiday easier.

Okay, most people who can make it seem to be saying first week in January - which personally I am fine with as it will be my birthday weekend so I can use that as my excuse to spend too much.

So I'm thinking anytime between the third and sixth of jan (inclusive). Can anyone still interested in going let me know on the poll below so we can try and fit it around as many people as possible?



Hopefully things will calm down this week and I can post about this again this weekend. Last chance will be sunday and then I'll announce the majority arrangements unless anyone has a better idea. Please remember I *do* live about 10 miles from the theatre and have absolutely no problem meeting people and maybe going to see this more than once. I know Lipstickcat is arranging another before newyears (and I'd love to go see it with her too :D)
