COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & SUPPORT
Dana Point Harbor Partners (DPHP) is committed not only to investing directly in the complete revitalization of Dana Point Harbor, but in supporting, sponsoring and celebrating some of the local organizations and events that mean the most to Dana Point, and greater Southern California. DPHP partners with the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, the City of Dana Point, the County of Orange and beyond to enhance the community for locals and guests alike.

YOUTH PROGRAMMING & EDUCATION
Dana Point Harbor Partners has pledged to increase public access to the waterfront, ocean education, and adventure for local youth for generations to come. Annually, The Marina at Dana Point hosts over 30 events and serves more than 1,000 youth participants from Title I schools, indigenous tribes, and local nonprofit organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Sandy Feet Initiative, and more.
Participants may learn how to swim or sail, experience whale watching for the first time, master kayaking or stand up paddling, and train to be good ocean stewards.
The Marina’s 5 core service partners include Dana Wharf Whale Watching & Sportfishing, Captain Dave’s Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari, Westwind Sailing, YMCA, and Stand Up to Trash.
To get involved, please contact our Youth Program Coordinator at Vpatterson@themarinaatdanapoint.com.

PUBLIC ART
Dana Point Harbor Partners is pleased to be a patron of the arts, to foster community pride, and to provide opportunities for engagement with one of a kind art installations. The Harbor Love Wall was first brought to life in 2020, and the life-sized whale tail sculpture Fluke: a Tale of Plastic was commissioned for the 51st Festival of Whales in 2022.
Following the close of the 2024 Ohana Festival at Doheny State Beach, the signature driftwood whale sculpture made a short journey to Dana Point Harbor on loan from renowned artist Jeffro Uitto. Currently on display in Hansen Plaza.
New signature Dana Point Harbor pieces are currently underway to be incorporated into the overall revitalization, celebrating the ocean, surf culture, the arts, and the harbor’s rich history.
