Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF)
For years, Daedalus has partnered with the RNLAF to provide technical personnel to keep key aircraft platforms operational and mission-ready.
Core Services Provided
Daedalus supplies skilled personnel for Aircraft Generation, Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Component Maintenance, and Depot Level Maintenance. Our teams are stationed at Volkel, Leeuwarden, Woensdrecht, Den Helder and Gilze-Rijen Air Bases, supporting platforms like the F-16, Chinook, Apache, NH-90 and Cougar.
Projects and Initiatives
F-16 Mid Life Update (MLU) Program: Daedalus was deeply involved in upgrading approximately 140 F-16s, from planning through execution, ensuring advanced capabilities for RNLAF’s fleet.
Pacer Amstel (Falcon Star): We performed extensive structural modifications on MLU F-16s, extending aircraft lifespan and improving performance.
Knowledge Transfer and Training Initiatives
Through continuous support, Daedalus provides mentoring and training, empowering RNLAF personnel to handle complex tasks independently while ensuring long-term operational strength.
Long-Term Support and Outcomes
Daedalus remains a trusted resource for ongoing program management, maintenance support, and spare parts provisioning, allowing RNLAF to concentrate on their mission with a secure support backbone.
European F-16 Training Center
The F-16 continues to play a crucial role in 21st Century Security missions for the United States, Europe, NATO and allies around the world. In November 2023, the European F-16 Training Center in Romania was established. This training center will focus on ensuring effectiveness and safety flying and operating F-16 fighter jets and could eventually expand to include training for other nations as well. The EFTC will enhance mission readiness through a comprehensive F-16 training solution for Romanian pilots.

Daedalus Aviation Group plays an important role in the formation and further development of this F-16 training center by supplying specialized maintenance personnel and instructors.
Chilean Air Force - Fuerza Aerea de Chile (FACh)
Daedalus proudly supports the FACh by providing skilled technical personnel who operate seamlessly as part of the team, enhancing their maintenance capabilities and operational readiness.
Core Services Provided
Daedalus operates the FACh Program Office (FPO) based at Woensdrecht Air Base, providing engineering expertise, aligning RNLAF F-16 procedures with FACh requirements, and handling Technical Orders and local modifications. Additionally, Daedalus manages the NEWCO Program Office (NPO), which is integrated with the FACh F-16 Support Office at the FACh Logistic Command HQ in Santiago. The NPO office assists with program management, engineering support, and provides advisory services to the Head of the FACh F-16 Support Office.
Projects and Initiatives
Banana Repair Modification (2009): Daedalus combined on-the-job training for FACh mechanics, NDI specialists, and sheet metal workers with the “Banana Repair” structural modification on FACh’s F-16 MLUs. After successful completion on three aircraft, FACh teams were qualified to carry out the modification independently.
F-16 Integrated Training Solution (FITS) (2010): Daedalus supported FACh’s development of the FITS program. Daedalus provided classroom and hands-on training, which included disassembling, shipping, and reassembling an RNLAF F-16 at Cerro Moreno Air Base in Chile.
Pacer Amstel Project (2010): Also known as “Falcon Star,” this project provided FACh and ENAER technicians with on-the-job training in structural modifications, gradually transferring full capabilities to FACh and ENAER teams to perform future modifications independently.

Through projects like the FITS program and Pacer Amstel, Daedalus has emphasized hands-on knowledge transfer, empowering FACh personnel with the skills needed for independent operation and sustainable fleet maintenance.
Long-Term Support and Outcomes
Daedalus continues to support FACh by regularly providing spare parts, support equipment, and technical guidance, ensuring a consistent resource for ongoing operational needs and mission readiness.
Indonesian Air Force - Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU)
Daedalus has a proud history of collaboration with the Indonesian Air Force, providing critical support to enhance the operational readiness of TNI-AU’s F-16 fleet. From 2000 to 2002, Daedalus delivered essential upgrades and modifications as part of the Falcon Up structural modification program.
Core Services Provided
In supporting TNI-AU, Daedalus provided end-to-end project management, including workflow planning, alignment of modkit composition, and specialized tool and consumables management. These services ensured the F-16 modifications were executed efficiently, meeting all time and budget constraints.

Falcon Up Structural Modification Program (2000-2002): Daedalus successfully led the Falcon Up program for TNI-AU’s F-16 fleet, handling structural enhancements that bolstered aircraft performance and longevity. This program was completed on schedule, within budget, and with zero warranty claims, underscoring the high standards maintained throughout the project.
Knowledge Transfer and Training Initiatives
The Falcon Up program also served as a platform for practical knowledge transfer, allowing TNI-AU teams to engage with Daedalus experts and gain critical insights into F-16 maintenance and structural modifications.
Long-Term Support and Outcomes
Following the successful completion of the Falcon Up program, Daedalus received a Certificate of Acceptance and a Letter of Recommendation from TNI-AU, reflecting the strong foundation of trust and satisfaction with the results achieved. Our relationship with TNI-AU exemplifies our commitment to supporting long-term fleet reliability and readiness.
Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (KAMS)
Core Services Provided
KAMS’s core mission is to ensure the continued airworthiness of the RNoAF’s aircraft and components. As a Lockheed-approved Falcon Depot, KAMS conducts essential phase inspections for the F-16, utilizing in-house workshops specialized in sheet metal, non-destructive inspection, avionics, engines, metals technology, egress, and fuel systems maintenance.
Projects and Initiatives
Phase Inspections and MRO Activities: KAMS performs comprehensive inspections and maintenance for the F-16, identifying and addressing repair needs through detailed visual inspections. Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), modifications, and upgrades are integrated during phase maintenance to meet evolving operational requirements.
Long-Term Support and Outcomes
KAMS’s commitment to quality and thoroughness ensures that the RNoAF’s fleet remains mission-ready. Through strategic MRO activities and ongoing scope expansion, KAMS continues to support the airworthiness and reliability of Norway’s vital air assets.
