Ripping movies has become commonplace as some users need to view video on different types of devices and others like to store their personal movie collection on their hard disks. DA DVD Ripper can help you rip DVD movies easily.

This program’s interface is quite original and it includes some fancy elements such as a switch to activate auto-preview or to change the dark skin for a lighter one. However, in my opinion, some of the graphic elements are oversized, which leads to a lack of hierarchy. This, in fact, may confuse the user, who will not distinguish important elements from superfluous ones.

DA DVD Ripper will let you rip video from different sources, such as physical discs and DVD folders. It has two modes of operation: easy and expert. In easy mode, you just select the source and the elements you wish to include in your copy, like the movie itself, extras and subtitles, so you will not need to mess with folders and files. Conversely, the expert mode will require you to choose exactly the elements you wish to copy. As additional settings, you can also disable subtitles or use deinterlacing. The second step in both modes will allow you to choose an output format. At this point, you will need to select one of the multiple popular formats available and, if you prefer, you can also further customize the chosen profile.

In general, DA DVD Ripper is a nice application that can satisfy both beginners and experts. While testing it, I noticed that the program cannot detect when another instance is already open, which means that if you click on its icon more than once, you will probably have more than one instance of this program running.
