Tank was born in Taitung, Taiwan. He is a native Taiwanese. His father is from the Ami people, while his mother is from a different aboriginal Taiwanese group. Before releasing his debut album, Tank helped write songs for Vic Zhou and S.H.E, among many other famous artists. By the age of 21, he was already recognized for composing more than 200 songs.

As noted by the title, this is his third released album.

Carsick Cars were established in Beijing in March 2005 and performed for the first time at Beijing Institute of Technology in May 2005. Since then the band have played every major venue in Beijing as well as in Shanghai and Hangzhou.They won the category of Best Rock Artist in the 8th Chinese Music Media Awards (cfensi).

I can promise this time this band is more actual rock than the pop-rock I seem to post more often here. "They are made up of guitarist and vocalist Zhang Shouwang, bassist Darkland and drummer Zhongqiu, the band began performing in bars across the city from April. Music fans began to take notice and the band now plays to a great reception in many venues. The band has developed a unique and attractive style based on their thorough understanding of music. Influences include western bands like The Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo" (Rock in China).

This is their debut album, released in 2007; they just released a sophomore album last month but I have yet to get my hands on that.
