As embellishments to a shawl

You adorn my soul

As anklets beautify one’s feet

Your love makes me sweet

As the tumultuous waves of the seas

You possess the power to disturb my peace

As a child excited to play with snow

I’ll be thrilled when you own your tomorrow

You decorate my life like an ornament

Bringing me out of my predicament

As a cold sundae soothes in the scorching heat

Your encouragement prevents me from accepting defeat

As the warmth of a hot cocoa on a cold winter night

Your presence makes me smile so bright

Your touch rejuvenates me like a breath of fresh air

Arousing passion and desire

When you are with me, I will soar high

Even though at times, I may cry

You are the most dearest of all

Indeed, you treat me like a precious doll!
