Poppy Lane thinks she has her life mapped out. The talented London art photographer lives with her aristocratic boyfriend, Lawrence Atherton, and expects a marriage proposal. While traveling Europe in preparation for her first exhibition, she meets Damiano Monteiro, an enigmatic Portuguese archeologist who recovers stolen artifacts. Although the attraction is instant, she doesn’t expect to see him again.
Damiano has recently retrieved an ancient Cupid figurine rumored to bring luck in love. As Poppy seeks creative inspiration, she keeps encountering Damiano across Europe guided by mysterious clues and coincidences. He sweeps her off her feet and unleashes his romantic imagination on her. Poppy’s carefully planned future begins to unravel.
But Damiano’s risky business dealings soon place both their lives in danger. Meanwhile, Poppy discovers that Lawrence’s idea of their future together is in stark contrast to her own. Her morally gray affair with Damiano suddenly becomes less objectionable, but falling out with Lawrence threatens to derail her budding career.
Which is the path to Poppy’s happiness? The two men in her life are willing to undergo drastic changes to win her love. After an intense journey of self-discovery, Poppy will have to make a tough choice.

Kostadin Georgieff
Kostadin Georgieff is a Toronto-based author and screenwriter who writes romance with a speculative edge, as well as mystery and science fiction. Several of his screenplays have been optioned and recognized in prestigious competitions.
His work often explores alternate realities and the fine line between science and the supernatural. He enjoys blending spicy love stories with big “what if” ideas about the nature of reality, time, and destiny.
When he’s not writing or traveling, he’s usually delving into the quantum world, art, filmmaking, and the mysteries that inspire his stories. Kostadin has a master’s degree in physics and attended film school.
