SBIR/STTR Commercialization

The federal Small Business Administration awards non-dilutive funding to innovative small businesses developing technologies and working towards commercialization through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs—collectively known as America’s Seed Fund.

Connecticut’s Office of Innovation is dedicated to supporting companies at all stages of participation in the federal SBIR/STTR program. Our statewide programming is designed to engage, enhance, and expand SBIR/STTR funding opportunities for Connecticut technology companies.

Learn more about the SBIR/STTR Consortium

The SBIR/STTR Consortium includes representatives from a wide variety of organizations that advise, educate, build prototypes for, or partner with SBIR/STTR applicants and awardees. The Consortium gathers regularly to foster collaboration and share ideas among all participants. Together, we build content and programming, assess any service gaps or new opportunities, and foster growth for innovative Connecticut companies.
