Dr. Fishman’s clinical and research interests have focused on advanced medical imaging with specific emphasis on 3 dimensional (3D) imaging and CT (computed tomography). Dr. Fishman’s work in computed tomography has resulted in over 1000 peer reviewed publications, and he has been the co-author of 8 textbooks. Dr. Fishman’s research team has been one of the leading groups in developing new techniques and technologies, whether in visualization or post processing or in radiology education. Dr. Fishman has expertise in computer and web-based education, developing the website, www.ctisus.com, which is geared toward radiology professionals and currently has over 50,000 users, as well as having run over 120 Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses. Dr. Fishman is on numerous committees including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), and the Society of Computer Cardiac Tomography (SCCT). Dr. Fishman has also won numerous honors and awards, including the Best Educator Award from RSNA in 2009.
