R&D Begins
Recognizing the enormous challenge of increasing transmission line capacity, CTC Global began ACCC® Conductor R&D in 2003.
Trial Lines Begins
After months of preproduction manufacturing and testing, CTC Global installed the first ACCC® Conductor trial line at EPRI’s test facility in Texas.
ACCC® Conductor Commercialized
After completing substantial testing and a number of energized trial lines, CTC Global commercialized the ACCC® Conductor in 2005.
Production ISO Certified
During the process of increasing production output, efficiency, and precision, CTC Global received ISO-9001 factory certification in 2006.
ASTM Standard Established
After months of committee work, the ASTM B-987 Standard for Carbon Fiber Thermoset Polymer Matrix Composite Core (CFC) for use in Overhead Electrical Conductors was published.
ACCC® ULS Conductor Introduced
To accommodate our customer’s requirements for extremely long spans, CTC Global introduced the higher-strength, higher-modulus ACCC® ULS Conductor which was first installed on a lake crossing in Africa.
SCS Global Services (SCS) Certification for C02 Emission Reduction
SCS verified that ACCC Conductor reduces CO2 emissions associated with transmission line losses by 27 to 31 percent under certain design conditions compared to conventional steel reinforced ACSR conductors.
ACCC® AZR Conductor introduced
In an effort to minimize conductor sag during heavy ice load events, CTC Global introduced the ACCC® AZR Conductor which uses a high-strength aluminum-zirconium alloy.
ACCC® InfoCore System Commercialized
To ensure successful conductor installations, CTC Global commercialized the ACCC InfoCore® System that uses embedded optical fibers to verify core integrity.
CTC Global Receives ISO/IEC Lab Accreditation
To increase the response time and validity of testing for CTC Global customers, CTC Global received ISO/IEC 17025 Lab accreditation in 2020.
Distribution Size ACCC® Conductors & Hardware Introduced
To support the modernization of the lower voltage Distribution grid (11 – 33 kV), CTC Global introduced a family of smaller size ACCC® Conductors and Hardware.
New ACCC® Core Manufacturing Facility in Pune, India
CTC Global opened its fifth core manufacturing site, expanding global production capacity and supply chain resilience.
Strategic Collaboration with Google Announced
CTC Global and Google launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to fast-track high-impact reconductoring projects. The program includes cost assistance, lineman training, and technical support to unlock grid capacity by 2026.

CTC Global introduced the GridVista™ System, a real‑time transmission intelligence solution that gives utilities full‑line visibility to optimize capacity, improve reliability, reduce risk, and make faster, data‑driven grid decisions.
J.D. Sitton is the Chief Executive Officer at CTC Global. J.D. has led start-up and growth-stage companies in the energy technologies and services, health care and industrial controls industries for the past 20+ years. He has worked closely with leading investors and strategic partners to develop and launch new products and services for electric utilities, oil and gas companies and petrochemical operators. J.D. holds an MBA from the Bauer School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University.
Gabriel Tashjian is the Chief Operating Officer at CTC Global. In this role, Gabriel leads CTC’s global manufacturing, supply chain management, quality, environmental health and safety, and facilities management organizations. He has over 20 years of experience in the energy and technology sectors. He has held a variety of management roles in a broad range of operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Prior to joining CTC Global, Gabriel served as GE’s corporate digital transformation leader for customer experience and immediately prior to that as managing director of GE’s Industrial Solutions Panel Builder business unit. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Anne McDowell is the Vice President of Commercial Operations and Marketing at CTC Global. Prior to joining CTC Global, Anne co-founded and operated an import/export business and served as the Executive Director for the American Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong, China. Anne holds a Bachelor of Art degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
Kevin Corbalis is the Chief Technology Officer at CTC Global, leading engineering, product development, R&D, and Field Services teams. With over 30 years of experience in the energy, engineered products, and fitness industries, Kevin brings a deep technical background and strategic leadership to advancing next-generation technologies. He plays a key role in driving CTC Global’s commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that support utilities and the modernization of the electric grid.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of New Mexico, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and has completed the Executive AMP Program at Columbia University.
John Emery is the Vice President of North America Sales and Business Development at CTC Global. In this role, John is responsible for developing the North American market and leading sales efforts serving utility and industrial customers. He brings over two decades of experience in sales leadership and commercial strategy, excelling in driving revenue growth and operational excellence. John holds an MBA in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Theodore Paradise serves as the Chief Policy and Grid Strategy Officer at CTC Global. Theodore has over two decades of experience in the energy sector and is a recognized thought leader in transmission policy, as well as the development and operation of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Prior to joining CTC Global, he served as a partner at K&L Gates, advising on energy policy issues, and held executive roles with a generation and transmission developer and oversaw planning, interconnection, and operations regulatory issues at a Regional Transmission Organization. His extensive expertise in transmission planning and energy project development is instrumental in advancing CTC Global’ s mission to expand transmission capacity quickly and cost effectively.
