What is CSYA Hacks?
CSYA Hacks is a multi-faceted, three-day hackathon where high-school students will apply their innovative and developmental skills to solve real problems. This is the second CSYA Hacks. The theme for this hackathon will be on creating a solution towards accessible STEM education. CSYA Hacks is split into three sectors: Ideathon, Novice Hackathon, and Advanced Hackathon.
CSYA Hacks not only provides a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity but also fosters a learning-oriented environment; throughout the hackathon, CSYA Hacks will host guest professors to share their knowledge in machine learning and healthcare.
At the conclusion of the event, an experienced panel of judges will evaluate the projects based on their creativity, feasibility, impact potential, and overall presentation. Prizes and recognition will be awarded to the teams with the most innovative and impactful solutions.
Which sector is best for me?
Ideathon: The Ideathon provides students with the opportunity to showcase and present their ideas. Judging will be based on creativity, effectiveness, feasibility and presentation.
Novice: The Novice hackathon is intended for new programmers with less than a year of experience in programming, but are still interested in implementing their ideas. Submissions are expected to be a working prototype. Judging will be based on creativity, implementation, and presentation.
Advanced: The Advanced hackathon is for experienced programmers with 1 or more years of experience in programming. Submissions are expected to be a final working product. The advanced hackathon has a larger prize pool due to the elevated expectations. Judging will be based on creativity, implementation, and presentation.
