Computational Structural Mechanics Association

CSMA

The field of Structural Analysis is a rapidly growing area of research and industrial applications. Its purpose is to model and numerically simulate the behavior of materials and structures within their environment. Concurrently, the constant and very rapid developments in hardware and software enable the consideration of complex structures with increasingly sophisticated behaviors. Gathered since 1987 within the framework of the GRECO-GIS “Structural Analysis and Artificial Intelligence,” our scientific community has sought to continue and develop the close links that exist in this field between industrial partners and academics at the French and European levels by creating the CSMA Association in 1990.
The CSMA is affiliated, as a scientific and technical group, with:
These affiliations ensure its representation at the highest national and international levels. The CSMA association brings together over 200 academic and industrial members. The missions of the CSMA:
  • Bring together the French Community in “Structural Analysis” by organizing a conference held every two years in Giens (Var), aimed at reviewing major axes and new themes developed in this field.
  • Initiate and support the organization of scientific and technical days.
  •
