Connecticut State Archives Finding Aids

The State Archives uses finding aids as guides to our government and manuscript collections. This site allows researchers to search and browse through those finding aids.

Please Note: Some archival records stored at our off-site facility are unavailable in preparation for and installation of new compact shelving. State Archives staff anticipates these records will gradually be made available starting in May 2026. For the status of specific record groups, contact History and Genealogy Unit reference staff by email: CSL.ISREF@ct.gov or phone: (860) 757-6580, or State Archives staff by email: CT.Archives@ct.gov. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time.

The Connecticut State Archives is undertaking an ongoing project to make finding aids available online. Hard copies of finding aids are available to researchers at the History and Genealogy reference desk if they are not yet online. Search Connecticut Archives Online Finding Aids Repository
