CSI Hackathon is the second hackathon hosted by Hack-A-Project, a computer science club @ The College of Staten Island. This hackathon will take place both online and in-person and participents will have a maximum of 51 hours to develop a great project based on the given topic.
The hackathon will be scored based on the criterion below:

Hackathon Topic:
If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past year, you should know that inflation is at record levels and that we’re in an economic recession. An economic recession basically means that our economy is in the dumpster right now, stocks are down, inflation is up, and the federal reserve isn’t planning on helping anytime soon.
Your task is to build a project to help Americans deal with, manage, or survive this recession. Your project has to have some sort of economic element.
Requirements
Submit the following items:
- Link to github repository.
- A presentation(at least one of the below items):
- Video presentation that is less than 5 minutes.
- White paper.
- Slides.
All projects must be submitted here through Devpost to be eligible for judging.
Submissions open at 10 PM EST on Saturday, October 22 2022. Submissions close at 11 PM EST on Sunday, October 23 2022.
