Welcome to CSESoc's Flagship Hackathon 2025!
Come in person to the opening ceremony at Ainsworth G03 at UNSW! The theme and problem statement will be released on Friday, July 11th, 5:30PM! The theme is Education!
PROBLEM STATEMENT
In a world where knowledge is more available than ever, the way we learn and teach is still catching up. Traditional classrooms are evolving with the growth of AI, but there are barriers that technology alone can’t solve.
What if we could rethink learning from the ground up? What does education look like when it actually sparks curiosity and supports personal growth? Whether it’s helping students understand difficult concepts, connecting teachers with better tools, or creating new spaces for collaboration, the opportunity to transform education is in your hands.
Your Task: Develop a technical (or non-technical) solution to that reimagines how people learn, teach, or collaborate.
Example Projects-
Spaced-Repetition App: Uses proven memory techniques to boost vocabulary and math skills
-
Offline Content Packager: Bundles videos, slides and quizzes into a single downloadable module that works without internet access.
- Interactive Video Lecture: Platform Lets instructors sprinkle in pop-up questions, polls or code challenges at specific timestamps and tracks completion.
