Hey guys! The theme of this hackathon will be "hacking for good." The project would revolve around helping/solving a social issue (e.g. food insecurity, poverty, etc). Anything that would benefits society (Be Creative!). The duration of the hackathon will be April 16th 11:00 A.M. to April 18th 2:00P.M.. On April 16th (hopefully as a group) will be able to present your work to our panel of judges. The winner of this hackathon can win prizes such as a $20 Amazon gift card, portable chargers, and t-shirts. This hackathon will be a great opportunity to showcase your finished product on resume, and meet new people. Devpost allows you to find groupmates if you don't have a team yet. Make an account, and write your skill sets, and ask others to pair up! The ideal team will consist of three people, but will not be enforced. If you don't have a team, just search a group looking for a member on Devpost, or discuss on the CS club discord to link up. If you don't have a group by the hackathon time, don't worry just show up. More than likely there will be many without a group. We just want to see you partcipate, and build something amazing.
Optional: The introduction on April 16 (Friday 11:00 A.M. US Pacific Time) The CS club will do mini introduction to commence the hackathon by explaining the theme. It is not required to show up, but it is recommended. We will be doing ice breakers to get to know the teams better.
