Booking Terms & Conditions:

Individual bookings 

– 10% deposit required at time of confirming booking.

– Balance payment to be made upon arrival.

Peak season: (19th December to 10th January)

– 50% deposit required at time of confirming booking.

– Balance payment to be made 45 days prior to arrival.

– Last-minute reservations – require 100% payment to confirm the reservation.

Cancellation Policy:

Individual bookings (up to 1 Suite or 2 Suites for 1 family)

  • If cancelled 30 days prior to arrival – deposit will be refunded in full (minus bank charges).
  • If cancelled 14 to 29 days prior to arrival – deposit will be charged in full.
  • If cancelled 0 to 13 days prior to arrival (1400hrs local time) – full cancellation charge.

Peak season (20th December – 10th January)

  • If cancelled 45 days prior to arrival – deposit will be refunded in full (minus bank charges).
  • If cancelled 0 to 44 days prior to arrival (1400hrs local time) – full cancellation charge.

Occupancy

– The maximum occupancy per category of suite cannot be exceeded at any given time unless and otherwise it has been approved in writing by the management. The hotel reserves the right to charge the primarily a penalty if the maximum occupancy has not been adhered to.

The maximum occupancy for each category of suite is as follows:

Extra beds

– We do not provide extra beds at Crystal Sands.

– For infants (0-2 years) a cot can be provided free of charge. Cots will need to be pre-booked due to limited availability. Min 48hr notice

Check-in / check-out times

  • Check in time is 2.00 PM and check out time is 11.00 AM.
  • Early check-in and late check-out may be provided, subject to availability

Dining

– Reservations can be made on a Suite Only basis or with your preferred meal plan. Any additional meals will be available from our à la carte menu and charged separately.

Outside visitors

– Outside guests can be entertained at Tempest Restaurant and bar only. Note that our facilities such as the infinity pool and fitness center are reserved for IN HOUSE GUESTS ONLY

Kitchen Utensils

– Will be available on request for reservations made for 5 or more nights only. This can be requested from the front office.

Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in public areas and on the suite terrace. Smoking inside the suites is not allowed. Any damages caused by smoking will be charged accordingly.

Driver/guide Accommodation

Unfortunately, we do not offer on-site accommodation for drivers. There are several options nearby, but we’re unable to recommend specific places as we are not familiar with their standards.

 Logistics & Special Arrangements
Whether it’s a destination wedding, birthday, engagement, or any special celebration, we’ll be happy to assist with arrangements. Please contact reservations@crystal-sands.com.

Airport Transfers
For your convenience, we can arrange reliable transfers from Bandaranaike International Airport to Crystal Sands Hikkaduwa. Please contact reservations@crystal-sands.com.

Parking

– We do have limited parking space available at the property (a parking slot per Suite).

Pets

– Due to the nature of our set up at the hotel, we do not allow pets.

Damages to hotel property / assets

– The primary guest who is making the booking, will be responsible for any losses or damages caused by the guest or accompanying party during your stay. The hotel reserves the right to assess damage and request for additional payment against any losses and damages caused to the hotel prior to the guests’ departure.
