And that's kind of the point. đ€ïž February's theme was Camino the path, way, or journey. Because if we're being honest, the road of life rarely looks like what you planned. there are no signs, no GPS, no clear direction. just you, the unpaved road, and the choice to keep walking.
What we talked about is something a lot of creatives feel but don't always say out loud trusting the process when the path isn't clear is the work. Being an artist, a maker, a builder of things that don't fit neatly into a box that's a punk move. and punk has always known one thing: your voice matters. even when no one's handed you a stage. The road less traveled isn't a detour. it's the trail you were always meant to blaze.
If our time with Maria reminded us of anything, it's that CreativeMornings is more than an event but that it's a practice. a monthly commitment to showing up, being present, and letting something new in.
That practice has us thinking bigger.
One of the things we love most about this community is what happens between the mornings. The conversations that spill into the parking lot. the collaborators who find each other over coffee. the ideas that need more than 90 minutes to breathe.
So we're quietly building something new a more intentional space to gather outside of our traditional monthly format. Think smaller. More hands-on. Designed around doing, making, and connecting in ways that go deeper than a single morning can hold.
It's early days, and we're being deliberate about how we grow it. but if you've ever left a CreativeMornings event wishing you could bottle that feeling and come back to it more often
this is for you. đ partiful.com/opencurriculum
Our theme for February is CAMINO. It was chosen by our Oviedo chapter in Asturias, Spain and illustrated by Marta Vila.
