The Lodge
Rustic Charm
Make lasting memories and good friends at our newly refurbished, old-world-style lodge, which is always open for your use. Gather round, enjoy the open fireplace, watch TV, play games or simply sit on a rocking chair on the porch. Sunrise and sunset are unmissable at CRC, as are the night skies with minimal light pollution and maximum pleasure.
Have a hearty appetite? No worries. Meals are available at the lodge, and can be added for an additional fee when booking your reservation. We can’t say our meals are calorie-free, but when it’s this high in quality and taste, it should be guilt-free! Go ahead and indulge, you’ll work it off on the trails. We do not have a liquor license, but you are welcome to BYOB to enjoy in our bar area while you shoot some pool. There is also an ice machine available for your convenience.
We do not serve lunch or dinner at CRC (meals for groups on request). This gives our guests the chance to enjoy their activities or explore the nearby area attractions at their leisure. We find that our guests appreciate the fact that they don’t have to be back at a set time or miss a meal they’ve paid for in advance.
However, we offer plenty of alternatives. Bandera is just 10 miles away and there is quite a selection of restaurants to choose. But if you prefer to stay at the ranch, you are welcome to use the microwave in the lodge or grill outside. All cabins have a refrigerator where you can keep any food or drinks you bring along.

Experience the splendor and peaceful tranquility of our refreshing, cool waters as you bask in the comfort of our clean pool. You can also catch up with your long awaited tan, toasting warmly under the Texas sun while you rest on our comfortable sunbathing chairs or read a thrilling novel. Whatever you choose to do, relaxation is what you will find!

Yes, we do. Wi-Fi is available in the lodge and the main office, as well as the cabins, the cottage and house. Cell phone coverage is available at the lodge and, in other locations, it depends on your carrier. However, while we understand the need to stay connected, we also want to support your efforts to unplug, unwind and connect with yourself and nature. However, the television in the lodge is available for your viewing entertainment, and guests staying in house will have access to a television in the living room.
What kind of clothing should I bring?
We recommend that you check the weather forecast the week before your visit, as Texas Hill Country weather can be a bit unpredictable. We enjoy a mild Mediterranean climate, with Spring and Fall being the most popular times to visit. Generally speaking, the summers are hot and muggy; the winters are short, cold, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year-round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 42°F to 95°F and it is rarely below 30°F or above 100°F. Please dress accordingly!
Do I need to bring linens?
There is no need to bring any linens or towels with you; we provide everything you need.
What do I do about food? Is there a grocery store nearby?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be added separately to your reservation for an additional fee when booking your stay.
The downtown Bandera area is a short 10-minute drive from the ranch, and there you will find a nice selection of restaurants and a grocery store. Every room has a mini fridge where you can store perishable items for your stay. You are also free to bring food to grill and there is a microwave in the centrally-located lodge for your convenience.
Is firewood included (for the fire pit)?
You may bring firewood if you like, but please do not start a fire for any purpose without discussing it with the staff first.
What about bug spray, sunscreen and hats?
The ranch is, well, a ranch! So please bring your favorite bug repellent, sunscreen and hat. If you forget, these items are easy to find in the local downtown area.
Is there a swimming pool?
Yes, we have a swimming pool and lounge area—and we encourage our guests to enjoy it, weather permitting—so please pack your bathing suit. There is no lifeguard on duty, however, so please swim and play responsibly.
What do I need to pack to be comfortable?
After you review the weather forecast prior to your visit, pack accordingly, based on your personal preferences. If you plan on going horseback riding, please bring a pair of pants and closed-toe shoes. You may also want to bring hiking boots or athletic shoes for exploring our 227 acres.
Do I need to book activities prior to arriving?
There are many wonderful, fun activities for the entire family to enjoy here at the CRC and nearby area, including river rafting, wine tasting, mountain biking and horseback riding. We do recommend that you book your experience beforehand, just in case. Let us know how we can help.
