Rant #1: My parents pissed me off today. So, sometime at the lock-in, I managed to hurt my foot. Probably the strain of lots of DDR on a really bad mat that kept moving. But anyway, I can't walk. I limp. So obviously, I can't play soccer. I woke up this morning hoping it would be better so I could play the soccer game, but it wasn't. It hurts when I walk and it hurts whenever anything touches it. It's my right foot, which is my primary kicking foot. There is no way I was going to play soccer. So my parents woke me up this morning to get ready for the game, and I get up, gingerly try out my foot, and collapse back onto the bed when I put weight on it. So I call for dad, and tell him that my foot is still hurting and I can't play in the soccer game today. He started going off on me, like this entire thing was my fault and I faked/planned the whole thing! He first said that I was just saying this becuase I was tired, and then grumbled something about ruining the day grandma and grandpa had come to see like I planned it or something. Oh yeah, I planned to get hurt for the only soccer game my family can come to this season and that my grandparents drove two hours to come see. Then my mom calls me on her cell phone, which I still had (she has a bum knee and couldn't walk upstairs to talk to me) and goes off on me just like dad did. Then they tell me I have to go watch the soccer game even though I'm not playing in it. Just to torture me. I had to limp around getting ready and walk all over the place to be at a soccer game I couldn't even play in. Do you not understand that it hurts whenever I MOVE?! But that note about the soccer game leads me to
Rant #2: I -insert preferred explicive- hate refs. Yep, I know, I already made this rant. But the refs we had today were THE worst refs I have ever seen in my entire carrer of playing soccer. They called us offsides at least 3 times when we weren't, didn't call it when CA's goalie barreled lil' gill over, and with the last two minutes or so we were in CA's box and someone took a shot. One of the girls from CA (NOT the goalie) stuck her arm into the air and the ball bounced off of it. NO CALL. If you would kindly explain to me how that is not a handball, I would greatly appreciate it. Especially when you call a handball on Hannah because the ball hit her in the shoulder when her hands were at her side. There was more that happened, but this is just to give you an idea. We lost the game 3-1, but would have won it if it hadn't been for the -insert preferred explicive- refs. If we could have gotten one -insert preferred explicive- call from them out of like 200 it could have been 3-2 at least. Those -insert really long line of preferred explicives- refs lost us the PHL tournament championship. Thanks, -insert preferred explicive-. |
