SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JAN 20TH

  • Eligibility: Open to all students. Teams of 1–4.

  • Original work: Projects must be created during the hackathon. Pre-existing libraries/frameworks are allowed; pre-built full projects are not.

  • Appropriate content: No harassment, hate, threats, or explicit content.

  • Intellectual property: Teams retain ownership of their projects. By submitting, you grant the hackathon permission to showcase your project for event promotion.

 

Judgement Rubric:

 

1) Execution — 30%

 

How well was the idea implemented?

• Whether the project has a deployed working prototype and functional core features

• Level of technical effort and completeness

• Stability and usability of the demo

 

A simple project that works well will score higher than a complex project that is unfinished.

 

 

 

2) Idea & Originality — 20%

 

How strong and thoughtful is the idea?

• Creativity and uniqueness

• Problem relevance or usefulness

• Novelty of the approach

 

 

 

3) Communication — 20%

 

How clearly is the project explained?

• Quality of the demo video

• Clear explanation of what the project does and why

• Ability to communicate the idea effectively

 

 

 

4) Impact & Future Potential — 15%

 

Could this project grow beyond the hackathon?

 

• Real-world use cases

• Potential users or beneficiaries

• Scalability or future development potential

 

 

 

5) User Experience — 15%

 

How thoughtful is the user experience?

 

Judges will consider:

• Interface clarity

• Ease of use

• Overall presentation and polish
