May I point out to ya'll our tags section, memories and pinterest.

Happy crafting!
<3
Hello all.

I wasn't sure how to go about this. I know LJ isn't used much by anyone these days. I believe ilea was a founder of this group, and had a lot to do with it initially. I regret to inform those that knew her personally that she passed away unexpectedly, December 9, 2025. She leaves behind 2 young daughters. I know they are struggling to come up with the finances to have her cremated.

I'm providing a link to the gofundme set up by her godmother.

Friday Funny!

The easiest way to find a lost crafting tool is to buy another!

Halloween Selfie Signs

My neighbours and I put on a community Halloween party this weekend and I had the great idea of making selfie signs. We did buy some selfie prop masks from the dollar store, but the kids ran off with them, LOL!

I bought Halloween window clings from the dollar store but didn't realize they were window clings, doh! I simply cut around them and glued them onto the white sign. Same for the orange sign. The orange sign lost its witch and the white sign is a little beat up, but they did the job :-)

NaCraMaMo

Hey friends, NaCraMaMo is in full swing. It's an annual daily crafting journey. It used to be on LJ (nacramamo) but is now solely on Dreamwidth.

Let's try punch needle

I bought a punch needle kit on sale from a most unusual place--a drug store! The kit is by Kikkerland, purveyor of quirky goods and crafts. It was the perfect thing to take on vacation. I made some mistakes, had trouble telling the front from the back, but overall I would try it again! It was a few hours worth of fun considering I paid $9.99 for the kit.

Knit City!

Fibre arts festivals have become a real thing here and I'm so happy about it! It started with one and grew and grew and now I can shop hand-dyed yarns in person!

Mom and I went to Knit City the other weekend and it was amazing! I bought a budgie bag and filled it with the goodies you see here! Knit City is usually held in Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON, but now it's going to rotate between Calgary and Vancouver. Yay!

[reposted post] New looms in the house :-D

One can never have too many and I just loved this set of three small looms from Michael's store brand, Loops and Threads.

Hi! Great question about that wavy yarn for your plushie hair – I've had the same issue with alpaca yarn projects. A super effective trick is to wet the yarn (with a spray bottle of water + a bit of…

I also make a skin potion with a few oils, lecithin and other ingredients.
Stored it in a tiny glass jar.
Same outcome---it showed some mold within about 10 days.
So next time I will leave out the…
