Trusted by DOTs and road authorities worldwide

Both asphalt and concrete pavements can withstand incredible punishment. To keep pavement in top shape for the future, it’s important to address any distresses quickly — before they worsen.

Hot applied

Hot-applied mastics are a class of durable repair materials offering a combination of strength and flexibility to repair a wide variety of distresses. Mastics contain aggregate for load-bearing properties, but the material remains flexible so it won’t break apart the surrounding pavement.

Crafco Mastic One is a conventional modified-asphalt mastic for deteriorated longitudinal joints, transverse cracking, alligator cracking, rutting and many other distresses.

Crafco TechCrete is a unique gray mastic for repairing concrete corner breaks, spalls, D-cracking and more. It can also be used on oxidized asphalt.

cold applied

For potholes, Crafco HP Cold Patch provides a very fast fix that will stay where you put it — in any weather. Use HP ER Asphalt Cold Patch for easy repairs with a conventional black appearance and no VOCs, or use HP Concrete Cold Patch to match the color of concrete or oxidized asphalt.

Step 1

Preparation

  • Concrete pavements:
    • Ensure concrete is prepared according to ASBA guidelines, including a vapor barrier below the slab.
    • Ensure new concrete pavement has cured at least 28 days and is uniformly textured for proper adhesion.
    • Etch new and old concrete with muriatic acid and flush with clean water.
    • Apply two-part acrylic epoxy primer to ensure proper bond.
  • Asphalt pavements:
    • Ensure asphalt pavement complies with ASBA asphalt guidelines, including mix design and compaction.
    • New asphalt pavement must be aged at least 14 days before application.
  • All pavements must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil or debris before application.
