Due to technological advances, infrastructure changes have become necessary in order to continue providing state-of-the-art WordPress hosting for our clients. We want to thank our clients for their patience during the transition process. Our new servers come with many advantages as they have been finely tuned for improved WordPress performance. Below are some of the advantages and changes of our new server infrastructure and hosting plans.
The resources of our new infrastructure are automatically scaled to what is required to keep the site running optimally. That is the great part of the new infrastructure! The site will perform optimally during peak and off peak traffic times.
Changes to Hosting
Hosting Change Advantages
- Faster Speeds – We are seeing anywhere from a 25-100% increase in site speed due to the utilization of a NGINX proxy.
- More Resources – Increased resources (RAM, bandwidth, etc) allow for there to be no page view or traffic limits.
- Better Reliability – With the increased resources, our new servers are boasting a 99.99% uptime.
- Staging Environments – We have the ability to set your hosting account up with a staging environment to test new plugins, themes, etc to your site without making changes to your live site.
- More Frequent Plugin Updates – For accounts taking advantage of our WordPress Management plans, plugins to your site will be updated twice a week and we will be automatically taking screenshots of your site before and after a plugin update is made. If a plugin update causes issues, we will be notified to take care of the issue.
- Removal of Dual Authentication – We will no longer be implementing/requiring dual authentication login.
Additional Changes
- Hosting Control Panel – cPanel is no longer available. All control panel changes (FTP access, DNS changes, etc) will be made through a request form or through a support ticket. cPanel email will no longer be available.
- Storage – The storage amounts for our hosting have changed. Our base plans start at 3GB of storage. If you need additional storage, we have numerous options available to you depending on your storage needs.
- Cost – To continue to maintain a superior hosting product, our hosting costs/plans have been changed. Please see our Hosting Services page for an updated list of available hosting plans.
