Cool Timer is not only a countdown timer, but also a stopwatch and an alarm clock. It’s a really handy tool that offers plenty of time management functions. It represents an easy and convenient solution to be warned when it’s time for a break or to wake up. It can also be used as a handy countdown solution for any time interval.

The three main operation modes: countdown timer, alarm clock, and stopwatch, can be easily selected from the main interface. The interface is not only easy-to-use and simple, but also elegant, colorful and appealing. It can also be customized in numerous ways, and handy hints are displayed when the app is started.

Cool Timer is not only easy-to-use, but also quite powerful and feature-rich. Plenty of options and functions are provided, including the possibility to choose different sounds for the alarm tone. You can even use your own sound files for the alarms (MP3 and WAV formats are supported). Furthermore, it allows saving and reloading preset countdown times, which makes operating it even easier. Cool Timer is also capable of waking up your PC from hibernation mode automatically when the alarm is about to sound. Besides sound alarms, you can also have an application automatically launched when the alarm goes off.

The only disappointing aspect about this tool was the fact that it didn’t allow running multiple instances of it, therefore creating and running multiple timers at the same time was not possible. Upgrading the tool to the paid “Deluxe” version will solve this issue. Other than that, there’s nothing else to criticize. Cool Timer is a great little utility that earned my appreciation.
