What makes OptiCore lights different? It starts with the engineering.
Each OptiCore bulb features a one-piece, injection-molded lens made from impact-resistant polycarbonate — the same material used in airplane windows and safety helmets. Inside, a high-efficiency SMD LED chip produces up to 60 lumens per bulb while using 90% less power than traditional incandescents.
That means you get:
True Color Output: Rich reds, vibrant greens, warm whites, and frosted finishes that hold their hue for years.
Energy Efficiency: You can light up your entire property without tripping breakers or spiking your electric bill.
Weatherproof Durability: OptiCore bulbs are rated for extreme cold, moisture, and UV exposure — perfect for unpredictable Michigan winters.
Long Lifespan: Rated for up to 60,000 hours of use, meaning your investment pays for itself season after season.
This isn’t disposable holiday lighting. It’s professional lighting designed to perform beautifully year after year.
Even the best bulbs can face harsh conditions — snow, wind, squirrels — and that’s where our full-service maintenance team steps in.
If a bulb ever goes out, we’ll replace it within 24 hours, no questions asked. We keep spare OptiCore bulbs, cords, and connectors stocked all season long, so you’re never left with dark patches or half-working strands.
Our technicians also inspect each display after installation to ensure every clip, cord, and connection is secure. After takedown, we clean, label, and store your materials to keep them ready for next year’s install — just one more way Cookies keeps Christmas simple for you.
If you love the timeless sparkle of traditional Christmas lights, OptiCore® delivers that nostalgic warmth — but with all the advantages of cutting-edge LED technology. These bulbs have quickly become a favorite among homeowners who want their home to look elegant, professional, and picture-perfect all season long.
OptiCore bulbs are designed with a thick polycarbonate lens that mimics the look and brilliance of old-fashioned glass but is virtually unbreakable. The result is a bulb that feels vintage yet performs like modern aerospace material — capable of withstanding years of freezing temperatures, wind, and sun without fading or cracking. Each light gives off a rich, full-bodied glow that outshines any store-bought strand.
What really makes OptiCore special is its color clarity and consistency. Unlike cheap LEDs that can look bluish or washed out, OptiCore bulbs produce true, saturated colors — from deep ruby reds and crisp cool whites to warm ambers and frosted multi-color strands that instantly feel like Christmas morning. Every bulb is individually molded for maximum light diffusion, giving your rooflines and trees that even, balanced glow that homeowners everywhere try to achieve but rarely do.
The efficiency is unmatched too. OptiCore LEDs use up to 90% less power than traditional incandescent bulbs, which means you can decorate bigger, brighter, and bolder without worrying about your power bill or breaker trips. And because they emit almost no heat, they’re safer for trees, shrubs, and any outdoor surface.
At Cookies Christmas Lights, we pair OptiCore bulbs with custom-cut professional-grade wiring for a clean, seamless finish — no tangles, no excess cords, no guesswork. Each strand is perfectly tailored to your home’s measurements, so your display looks intentional from every angle.
When combined with our design expertise, OptiCore lights bring your home a warm, upscale glow that neighbors can spot from a block away — elegant, consistent, and absolutely unforgettable. Whether you want a soft white classic look or a multi-color celebration, OptiCore is the standard of excellence we trust for premium roofline installations across Southeast Michigan.
Because Christmas lights shouldn’t just shine — they should glow with joy.

Yes, many of our designs blend OptiCore rooflines with Minleon RGB accents on trees, wreaths, or bushes for a mix of classic and dynamic color.
