Tonne Steelmaking Coal Capacity
The safety and health of those that work in and with our business remain our most important value.

Our Company History

Founded in mid-2016, Conuma Resources is a steelmaking coal producer based in Northeast British Columbia, Canada. We are an integral part of the global steel supply chain, producing high quality steelmaking coal for leading global steelmakers.

We integrate economic, environmental and social principles to create sustainable value for our employees, business partners, and the communities in which we operate.

Our people are the reason for our success

When we made the call to re-open, the community answered. Without the dedication and cooperation of our employees, their families, our four Indigenous Nations partners and our local communities, we would not have achieved the success we have to date.

Giving Back to the Community

Our commitment to local employment, local procurement, and meaningful community investment contributes to the economic strength and long-term resilience of Northeast British Columbia and the province as a whole. As Conuma continued to grow in 2025 through the successful ramp-up of Quintette and strong performance at Willow Creek, we remained focused on creating employment, supporting regional businesses, and investing in the communities where we operate.

We believe strong communities are built through ongoing dialogue, trusted relationships, and practical support. Throughout 2025, we continued to engage with local governments, community organizations, schools, and Indigenous Nations to better understand priorities and contribute in ways that are meaningful and locally relevant.

A notable example was the Hope Truck project, which brought people together in support of Indigenous youth and community initiatives and reflected the partnership, reconciliation, and shared purpose that underpin our approach to community investment. We also continued to support education, wellness, and community development through a range of regional initiatives and partnerships.

Giving back is part of how we do business at Conuma — helping build stronger communities while supporting a sustainable future for the region.
