Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Consolety website (consolety.ai), the Consolety WordPress plugin, and the Consolety Hub API service (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Consolety is a content exchange network for WordPress publishers. The Service consists of:

• A WordPress plugin that enables publishers to discover, connect with, and exchange guest posts with other verified publishers.
• A Hub API that manages site registration, network discovery, guest post workflows, points economy, campaigns, and backlink monitoring.
• A website (consolety.ai) providing information, documentation, and support.

All publishers must verify their site ownership through Google Search Console before participating in the network.

3. Account and Registration

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering your site.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your WordPress installation and Google account credentials.
• You may register multiple WordPress sites, each as a separate network participant.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. GSC Verification

Consolety requires Google Search Console verification via OAuth 2.0 for all network participants. By connecting your GSC:

• You authorize Consolety to access aggregated traffic metrics (total clicks and impressions) for your verified domain.
• You confirm that you are the legitimate owner or authorized administrator of the domain.
• You understand that verification status is visible to other network participants.
• You may revoke GSC access at any time through your Google account settings.

5. Points Economy

The Service uses a points-based economy to facilitate content exchanges:

• Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to other users, or sold.
• Points are earned by hosting guest posts, through daily activity bonuses, welcome bonuses, and Pro subscription bonuses.
• Points are spent on guest post submissions, connection requests, and campaign actions.
• Point balances are subject to tier-based caps (500 for Free, 1000 for Pro).
• We reserve the right to adjust point values, earning rates, and spending rates. Material changes will be communicated to users in advance.
• Points are forfeited upon account termination for Terms violations.

6. Content Guidelines

All content submitted through the Service must comply with these guidelines:

• Original content: Guest posts must be original and not published elsewhere. Plagiarized or AI-generated content passed off as human-written (where the host requires human-written content) is prohibited.
• Legal compliance: Content must not violate any applicable laws, including copyright, trademark, defamation, and privacy laws.
• Quality standards: Content must meet the host site’s published requirements (word count, formatting, topic relevance).
• No harmful content: Content that promotes violence, discrimination, illegal activities, or is otherwise harmful is prohibited.
• Link guidelines: Backlinks in guest posts must be contextually relevant. Excessive, deceptive, or manipulative linking is prohibited.

7. Content Ownership and Licensing

• You retain ownership of all content you create and submit through the Service.
• By submitting a guest post to a host site, you grant the host a perpetual, non-exclusive license to publish that content on their website.
• Published guest posts remain on host sites as regular WordPress posts. Consolety does not control or remove published content from host sites.
• You grant Consolety a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content within the Service for the purpose of facilitating guest post exchanges.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Create fake or misleading site profiles.
• Manipulate the points economy through automated means, multiple accounts, or collusion.
• Use the Service to build links to sites promoting illegal products or services.
• Circumvent the GSC verification requirement.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service beyond normal plugin use.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users’ experience.
• Remove or modify backlinks from published guest posts without the author’s consent.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

9. Subscription and Payment

• The Free tier is available without payment and has no time limit.
• The Pro subscription is billed monthly at the current rate (EUR29.99/month at time of writing) through Freemius.
• Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
• You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled according to Freemius’ refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.

10. Backlink Monitoring

Consolety performs daily automated link monitoring to verify the status of published guest post backlinks:

• This involves sending read-only HTTP GET requests to published post URLs.
• Requests include SSRF protection (private IP blocking, SSL verification, redirect validation).
• If a backlink is removed, nofollowed, or the page returns an error, the guest post author is notified.
• Link monitoring is a service feature, not a guarantee. We are not liable for removed backlinks.

11. Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We do not guarantee specific SEO results, traffic improvements, or ranking changes from using the Service.
• We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or legality of content published by other network participants.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR100, whichever is greater.
• This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

12. Intellectual Property

• The Consolety name, logo, and brand elements are the property of VerifiedPress.
• The Consolety plugin is licensed under GPLv2 or later, as required for WordPress.org distribution.
• The website content (consolety.ai) is copyrighted and may not be reproduced without permission.

13. Termination

• You may disconnect from the network and uninstall the plugin at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, with notice where practicable.
• Upon termination, your profile is removed from the network. Published guest posts on host sites remain as they are regular WordPress posts.
• Points are forfeited upon termination for Terms violations. Points are retained if you voluntarily disconnect.

14. Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
• Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
• If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
• For EU consumers: You may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU and national law, including the right to a 14-day withdrawal period for online purchases (cooling-off period) as provided by the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
