We are the 4th year Conservation Science course at the University of Edinburgh. We meet weekly in semester 1 to discuss hot topics in the field of conservation science from both the biological and social perspectives.
Our learning objectives are:
- To understand the concept of biodiversity change and identify threats to global biodiversity.
- To understand how and why we conserve ecosystems and populations.
- To understand people-focused conservation.

A beautiful setting for “Species on the move” – a game where we all got to be species whose distribution ranges are changing due to climate change, land use change, human activities & species reintroduction.
Red deer are one of the major herbivores in Scotland, but also a source of income.
