RISD Trek

RISD Trek is a privately funded program that provides RISD students opportunities to engage with art & design professionals and build networks with industry leaders, alumni, and mentors.

Recent RISD Trek experiences include trips to Los Angeles to explore the game design, film, and animation industries in 2023; New York City for an introduction to the fine arts scene in 2024; and the Hudson Valley to experience the creative culture of the region in 2025.

“[RISD Trek] definitely opened my eyes as a student who hasn't yet entered the industry. It complimented my academics by helping me clarify what I want for my future career, especially after talking with people already working in the field."

Students will also engage in alumni panel discussions and networking opportunities, offering both practical knowledge and long-term professional perspective.
