Conal is working for you: through thick and thin!

Ruth and Ralph working while they were on the Otter Trail

These two Conal employees were on a hike last month, but that did not stop them from working. Under the black poncho is a tablet and a Conal employee answering emails and processing orders. The poncho acted as a windbreak, and the wildlife on the trail did not realize at all that the poncho was a mobile office. Ruth was so well camouflaged that a raven even perched on her head at one point, thinking the poncho was a rock! Thanks for your dedication, Ruth and Ralph. And thanks Sarah, for this great photo.

Conal Payment Platform update

Conal has recently removed MyCommerce as a payment platform on our website due to delays in payouts from their side, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our clients. We are working to ensure smooth payment options for all our clients moving forward.

Payments may still be made using PayPal. If you are unable to use PayPal, please email alerts@conferencealerts.com for assistance. For the moment, we are accepting wire transfers into our bank account, and we can guide you through this option.

All purchased promotions have been honored, and will continued to be honored, as Conal is committed to providing the same professional service our clients have come to expect over the past 24 years.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at alerts@conferencealerts.com if support is needed.

Protect yourself from predatory conferences

Predatory conferences and events seem to be proliferating online, and Conal is committed to helping you avoid these. We welcome engagement which helps us to do this.

Wikipedia defines a predatory event as follows:

Predatory conferences or predatory meetings are meetings set up to appear as legitimate scientific conferences but which are exploitative as they do not provide proper editorial control over presentations, the topics covered can diverge substantially from what has been advertised, and advertising can include claims of involvement of prominent academics who are, in fact, uninvolved.[1][2][3] They are an expansion of the predatory publishing business model, which involves the creation of academic publications built around an exploitative business model that generally involves charging publication fees to authors without providing the editorial and publishing services associated with legitimate journals.[1][2]
