MAXQDA Analytics Pro
Description
MAXQDA Analytics Pro is a qualitative and mixed methods data analysis tool. Researchers install the software on their own computers (Windows and Mac supported). Illinois Computes provides licensing to use the software.
Important Notes About the Licenses
- Instructions for installing MAXQDA Analytics Pro and configuring it are on the MAXQDA Licensing page.
- Your computer must be either on the campus network or connected via the campus VPN service in order to use the licenses.
- As of December 15, 2025 there are 60 concurrent licenses meaning only 60 people can use MAXQDA via these licenses at any given time.
- As of December 15, 2025 the AI Assist Premium add-on is available for use with all 60 concurrent licenses.
- Illinois Computes is committed to purchasing additional licenses as demand indicates the need. If you receive a message that a license is not currently available, please notify illinois-computes@illinois.edu.
- There are currently three add-ons for MAXQDA Analytics Pro:
- AI Assist – AI Assist Premium available for use with all concurrent licenses.
- TeamCloud – These can be purchased on a case-by-case basis. Contact illinois-computes@illinois.edu if interested.
- Transcription – There is a limited ability to use this feature at the moment. Contact illinois-computes@illinois.edu if interested.
