Question/Problem: My volume control has disappeared from my taskbar.

When did the problem start? Has it been going on constantly since then?: Yesterday. Yes.

Any steps you've taken to troubleshoot?: Right clicked on the taskbar and opened "Properties" but the volume control was greyed out and unclickable.

Question/Problem:  I added a language bar to my taskbar last Thursday (3/27). No big deal. I can easily switch between Arabic and U.S. English.
Today, however, the taskbar appeared on the far left of the bar. Somehow, it's hiding all of the programs that I have open at any time. I try to use the arrows to move it back to its proper place, and it doesn't budge.
I click "Restore" to try to manually move it to where I want, and EEK, my taskbar disappears! I try to use the arrows to rise it up from the bottom of the screen, and it won't move.
Then i re-minimize the language bar, and the taskbar appears again (still no programs show, but at least I can open the start menu to shut the stupid thing down).

Duration of problem: 1 day.

Any steps you've taken to troubleshoot?  Tried seeing if the settings of the language bar had anything to do with it, but there was nothing mentioned about hiding the rest of the taskbar.  I've gone to the taskbar settings and made sure that "Show taskbar above all other windows" is selected, and that "auto-hide taskbar" is NOT selected.  Searched FAQs on the computer's "Help & Support" button as well as the official site for Windows XP tech support - found nothing relevant.  (Something about a video player, but I don't think I've changed any of that.)
