About this Hackathon:

This is an indernship in a day style Hackathon with Northumbrian Waters! Gain software engineering experience by working in teams of up to 5 to design and implement solutions to real world problems. 

Date: 21st January 2023 10am-10pm with presentations on the Monday after lectures Perks: £1000 of prizes, food provided

Requirements

Challenge Ideas:

  • Asset management system
  • Mobile application to view the assets in the field
  • Mobile application to update asset information 
  • Work management engine, something that will review the network and raise pieces of work for operators as it is needed (this could be based on both reaction and prediction from asset data)
  • Mobile application for operators to see their assigned work and report on progress
  • Customer management system: application to store customer data
  • Access to historic and current data for reporting to regulators
