OpsHub SMTP Email Configuration Issue

Hi Team,

We are experiencing email sending failures from OpsHub. The logs indicate the following error:

javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Unsupported or unrecognized SSL message OpsHub-011142: Could not connect to SMTP host

Current Configuration in OpsHub:

  • SMTP Host: [your SMTP host]

  • Port: 25

  • Encryption: Nothing selected in OpsHub

  • No other encryption options available

Issue Observed:
OpsHub only allows TLS or SSL selection, but our SMTP server on port 25 expects plain SMTP or STARTTLS, not implicit SSL/TLS. This mismatch causes the connection to fail.

Questions for OpsHub Support

  1. Can OpsHub send emails over plain SMTP on port 25, given that TLS/SSL are the only options available in the UI?

  2. If plain SMTP is not supported, what is the recommended way to configure OpsHub to work with servers that do not provide SSL/TLS on port 25?

  3. Is there any supported workaround, such as using a mail relay or alternate port?

  4. Are there specific TLS/SSL versions or certificates required for OpsHub to successfully connect to an SMTP server?

Missing Database After Installation

I was able to successfully install the Community Edition and received the verification code. When I try to login, I get the following errors: "Login failed. Due to Unable to load the OpsHub System from database. Enable "Provide exception details" in the OpsHub system configuration form to view a detailed error trace for better troubleshooting." I'm not sure where to find the configuration form though. I also see this error: "Error occurred while getting the license details OpsHub-002005: Failed to connect to the database, please check the OpsHub database is accessible from the OpsHub server machine. Underlying error: Cannot open database "opshub" requested by the login. The login failed. ClientConnectionId:4eb6fd99-2835-4254-bdf1-bcf27f22cdad OpsHub-003300: Could not establish Connection ."  The trace says it can't login to the OpsHub database. When I run the database management utility and give it the location of OpsHub, it says "There are no applicable database management options for MSSQL Windows Authentication Mode". I've verified with the DBA that the account I'm running under has access to the database. What should I do next to troubleshoot? Thanks.   I'min failed

User Mapping Error with API

Team,

I am currently performing a migration from Azure DevOps Server 2019 to Azure DevOps Services, and I am encountering the following error during the process.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows what might be causing it?

Thank you.

Install Error When Selecting SQL Server

Happy New Year! We finished moving from Azure DevOps Server to Azure DevOps Services late last year.   I'm attempting to migrate our old Azure DevOps Server collections (2) to new projects in our Azure DevOps Services (this is for archiving/research purposes - all current work is now done in a new project in Azure DevOps Services). I'm attempting to the Community Edition for this migration, as it offers several advantages over the native Microsoft tool, one of the big ones being able to migrate the old collections to an existing Organization. I've downloaded 7.194-HF1.   Our Azure DevOps Server is 2022.1, and the co-located SQL Server is 2017.   The server hosting both ADO Server and SQL Server is Windows Server 2022 Standard. When I get to the step in the installation for SQL Server, I select SQL Server and point it to the proper driver.   While I'm using an account with elevated permissions on the server but the account can access SQL server, I specify the location of the driver, the server name and instance (server%instance), the database name (Tfs_Configuration), and click next. I then get the following error: Can not connect to database. Cause: The connection cannot be established due to File system element for parameter 'source' does not exist: 'C:\Users\<account>\AppData\Local\Temp\3\IXP000.TMP\tmp0\sqljdbc_12.2\enu\auth\x64\mssql-jdbc_auth-12.2.0.x64.dll' I tried looking in that folder, but I didn't see it.  I'm stumped - what am I overlooking? Thanks.

New Jira APIs /rest/api/3/search/jql

Hi everyone, I downloaded the community version to create a PoC with Jira to present it and see if it can be integrated into company processes. The problem is that during the first integration with Jira Cloud, a test project, I received the following error regarding the use of deprecated APIs: H-API-0004: Error occurred while executing GraphQL getFieldsMeta API due to OpsHub-014758: Error in fetching metadata from Jira Test Cloud system because of OH-JIRA-0173: Error occurred with status code: 410 in JIRA. Reason: {"errorMessages":["L'API richiesta è stata rimossa. Esegui la migrazione all'API /rest/api/3/search/jql. Le linee guida complete sulla migrazione sono disponibili all'indirizzo https://developer.atlassian.com/changelog/#CHANGE-2046."],"errors":{}} Does anyone have any idea about this problem and how to fix it?
