New Lab for the Study of Global Antisemitism will be a hub for scholarly inquiry and interdisciplinary collaboration

A new lab at the University of Toronto’s Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies (CJS) will be a hub for scholars from across disciplines to examine the persistence of antisemitism in a global context.  The goals for the new lab include bringing together scholars and students whose work connects, directly or indirectly, with the study of antisemitism.

Staff Announcement – Institutional Equity Office

Shari Golberg will be joining the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture in the new role of Assistant Director, Faith & Anti-Racism in the Institutional Equity Office. This role was developed in response to Recommendation 2 from the Antisemitism Working Group Report. When Shari starts on January 8, 2024, she will work with key partners across the tri-campus to support the University’s commitment to foster an inclusive environment for faith-based communities at U of T.


Ketty Anyeko

U of T researcher explores reparations for forgotten victims of Uganda’s war

October 31, 2023

Ketty Anyeko is dedicating her scholarly efforts to supporting post-conflict resolution and pursuing justice for victims, examining how children born of wartime sexual violence view the legal prosecutions of their fathers – often former rebel commanders – for sexual- and gender-based crimes. Her research is supported by U of T’s Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellowship program, which provides funding to hire postdoctoral researchers from underrepresented groups.
