it seems the combination of caliban’s antics, prison time, and hanging out with falst has given him a healthy disrespect of authority which I am personally a big fan of
Caliban: Oh yes, this is dangerous, very, very dangerous. (gives a thumbs up) You go for it champ! I believe in you! Falst: WHAT?! You’re just going to let him do this despite knowing the risks?! Caliban: May I remind you that I didn’t intervene when he willingly chose to protect the vessel of an apocalyptic dragon god? A dip in the ocean is peanuts compared to what you ALL signed up for.
Ohh, pretty shot of Rakhn’s volcano against the early night sky. Night drawing in is also good for the gang; it’ll make the Paladin’s ability to search and navigate this footpath-less island harder. Also means Alinua’s mer-people allies can get near the surface without being blinded.
Ah, looks like I was wrong on all fronts about why Dainix is insisting to come with, ah well. Yeah, V.D. is always a danger and they have no idea about the Northern Wyrm’s state, so bringing a V.D. counter who can fight in water is a must. They might even be thinking there’s a non-zero chance the sea monster was a kind of dragon, and don’t want another Void possession situation.
Ouch, Falst is being put through the emotional wringer these last couple of chapters; Dainix’s breakdown on the boat, manipulated by Caliban to steal the fireseed, now this. Plus if his pose in the chapter cover is any indication, and if even half the Falst-Light magic theories are right, his situation is not going to improve anytime soon.
On the plus side, looks like that Paladin fight and his yelling here has cleared out what’s left of the volcanic fumes!
Prediction for next week: No god shows up and Falst begrudgingly goes along with the plan. Erin and Dainix make for the water while everyone else runs different distractions to waylay the Paladins; the chapter cover now making sense as a planned splitting of the party, not a split forced upon them.
Tahraim and Caliban right now:
we can look away for a few minutes, he’s probably not gonna try to drown himself or something
Dainix rn gives the same vibe as that one guy saying ‘may Zeus himself strike me down if I’m lying!’
“Strike me down, Zeus! You don’t have the b-“ *gets zapped by lightning*

OOH BOY, THIS IS GETTING REAL!
NGL, I think those two would just sit back with popcorn and watch.
Ah, Dainix is so cool!!
Confident fire
Seeking to push his limits
Anxious cat-boyfriend
Caliban is probably hoping he uses the fire seed while he’s in a fight down there.
it seems the combination of caliban’s antics, prison time, and hanging out with falst has given him a healthy disrespect of authority which I am personally a big fan of
Dainix resigned logic.
Erin analytical logic.
Kendal optimistic logic.
Falst realistic logic.
Tess probably thinking everyone’s crazy
Also, did Dainix just do a judgemental prayer?
Then Alinua finds them in the bubble and reprimands them on the stupidity of their plan.
Ah yes, the patented «if god didn’t agree with me, he would stop me » maneuver
Hey guys, loooove the tactical planning and character developments, huge fan. Making huge steps there by talking to the conflict.
Just one question, can you not shout when you are directly next to this gigantic army that wants you dead?
I only now realized the irony of water being used to keep air breathable
