I was listening to "Big Yellow Taxi" today. I think it's funny how it's a nice, beautiful and somewhat serious song, and then at the end Joni switches octaves in a very abrupt manner and starts laughing about it.
How come they don't let musicians get (noticeably) high in the studio as often as they used to? It would do Adam Duritz and Vanessa Carlton a world of good back when they covered the song. . .
