Gosford Hospital Safe Haven Development

The Gosford Safe Haven Development is a state-of-the-art community mental health facility, commissioned by the Central Coast Local Health District. This significant project, nestled within the grounds of Gosford Hospital, has been meticulously designed to foster a therapeutic environment, offering a suite of consult areas tailored to provide privacy and comfort for patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Our approach prioritised creating a series of social spaces that encourage interaction and support patients on their mental health journeys. These areas are complemented by serene gardens and comprehensive landscaping, which not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the facility but also contribute to a calming atmosphere. We integrated multiple ‘chill out zones‘ throughout the development, providing patients with tranquil spaces for reflection and respite.

The project demonstrates a sensitive balance between functional design and creating a nurturing environment.
