Too often during the course of our lives, we look up and find ourselves drowning; we drown in a raging sea of monotony, losses and gains, and manmade paradigms. Simply watching a half-hour episode of television or two hours of a feature film can alleviate the gravity of this realization. Stories give us the chance to escape the world in which we live, while simultaneously creating a world that is entirely new and entirely our own. Screenwriting gives me the chance to share these stories, a chance to capture and guide viewers as they embark into the unknown, the enticing, and the infinite.

Readers of this blog are invited to travel alongside these fact-based posts to experience an iteration of myself on my journey toward fruition. The tools that I have chosen to assist me on this journey include the following: a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication from James Madison University; a pilot for an original television drama series, along with multiple screenplays for films, both short and long, in my back pocket; and a melting pot of social and writing skills that have yet to disappoint.

So here I find myself, charming and insane, writing a fictional account of a dream that I hope to one day transform into a reality.
