Welcome to CodeHost (“us,” “we,” “our,” or “CodeHost”). We appreciate your trust in our services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing refunds for our products and services. By using our website, products, and services, you (“user,” “you,” or “your”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following refund policy.
The purpose of the refund policy is to allow customers to evaluate whether CodeHost’s services meet their needs. However, abusive usage of refunds—such as repeatedly requesting refunds for the same services, purchasing in bulk and seeking refunds, or any other misuse—will not be tolerated. CodeHost reserves the right to unilaterally decline refund requests if any signs of refund abuse are detected.
7-Days Money-Back Guarantee
CodeHost offers a 7 days money-back guarantee on most of our hosting plans. If you are not satisfied with our services within the first 7 days of your initial purchase, you are eligible to request a refund. This guarantee applies only to new customers and new orders. Renewals and subsequent purchases are not eligible for a refund under this policy.
Eligibility Requirement for Refund
To be eligible for a refund under our 7 day money-back guarantee, you must meet the following criteria:
- Your request for a refund must be submitted within 7 days (168 hours) of your initial purchase.
- Your account must be in good standing, with no violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy. If your account is found to be engaged in abusive activities or in violation of our terms of service, strictly refunds will not be issued.
- Only the hosting plan’s base fee is eligible for a refund. Additional services, domain registrations, and add-ons are non-refundable..
- Each account is permitted to submit only one refund request. Any additional requests will not be considered. If multiple accounts are detected, all refund requests will be declined.
Exclusions
The following are not eligible for a refund under this policy:
- Domain Fees: Domain registration, transfer, restoration ,redemption & privacy protection fees are non-refundable.
- Dedicated Servers and VPS Hosting: Dedicated server and Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting plans are not eligible for refunds.
- Offshore Hosting: Offshore Hosting plans are non-refundable in any circumstances.
- Renewals: Renewal payments are non-refundable. The 7 day money-back guarantee applies only to the initial purchase of a hosting plan.
- Upgrade/Downgrade Orders: All upgrade orders are non-refundable. If a user chooses to downgrade their product, any excess amount will be credited as account credits. Refunds will not be issued in any form other than account credits.
- Account Credits: Account credits, once added, are non-refundable and can only be used to purchase our services.
- Free Domain: For hosting plans that include a free domain with a purchase of one year or more, if you claim the free domain and later request a refund, the current price of the domain will be deducted from the invoice amount. The remaining balance will be refunded. If the current price of the domain exceeds the invoice amount, the user will be required to pay the remaining balance.
- Suspended, Cancelled or Terminated Products: Your order must be in an Active status to be eligible for a refund. Products or services that have been suspended, canceled, or terminated due to abusive usage or any violation of our Terms and Conditions are not eligible for a refund.
- Cyptocurrency Payments: Cryptocurrencies, tokens, and digital assets are inherently irreversible and subject to significant exchange rate fluctuations. We do not assume responsibility for any associated risks, including but not limited to market volatility and exchange rate changes. Purchases made using cryptocurrencies, tokens, or digital assets are non-refundable.
- Behaviour: Customers are expected to maintain professionalism and courteous behavior in all interactions. Any form of misconduct or inappropriate behavior may result in account suspension or termination, without eligibility for a refund.
Refund Process
To request a refund within the 7-day period, please follow these steps:
- Create a billing support ticket from the clientarea with your request & the reason for a refund.
- Provide your order details in the ticket, including your email address, domain name, hosting’s primary domain and invoice number.
- Our team will review your request and initiate the refund process if you meet the eligibility criteria.
Refund Amount
Refunds will be credited within 7-15 business days from approval. The refund amount will be calculated based on the invoice amount. Any additional services, domain registration fees, or add-ons will not be included in the refund. Refunds will only be credited to the original payment method or as account credits.
For international payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, and others, a small percentage of the invoice amount will be deducted to cover transaction fees imposed by the payment processors for receiving and processing payments or refunds.
Instant refunds are available in some payment processors/gateways. You may request our team to initiate an instant refund, subject to eligibility. Please note that a small fee will be deducted from the invoice amount to process instant refunds.
