Welcome to the first-ever Codebuds Code Jam! Over 5 exciting days, from January 3rd to 8th, you'll have the opportunity to create a video game. By centring our competition around an enjoyable theme, we aim to foster creativity in a field often stereotyped as "only math" or "only computers." This Code Jam is designed to welcome participants with various skills, encouraging them to contribute their unique talents.
About Us
Just like literacy rates are crucial for personal development and societal progress, tech-literacy is becoming increasingly important in the modern era.
Unlike other organizations that focus on a specific group, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed in technology. That's why we offer a range of programs, including tutoring sessions, workshops, and competitions, designed to inspire and equip students with the tools they need to thrive in this dynamic field.
Getting Started:
To embark on this coding adventure, please carefully review all the criteria and rules outlined for the Code Jam. When the time comes, gear up for coding! You'll have a dedicated 5-day window to craft the best game possible. Happy coding!
Requirements
What to Submit:
We're thrilled to support aspiring game creators, and we kindly ask that your project submission be a game.
You have the creative freedom to craft any type of game—whether it's an open-world MMORPG or a rhythm game, the possibilities are endless. However, all project materials must be your original design. While tutorials can be a helpful guide, they can't constitute the entirety of your project.
Feel free to use any programming language that enables game creation.
Upon submission, please provide either a link to a GitHub repository containing all files from your project or a zip file, accompanied by a video demo. Ensure that all images, sounds, and additional materials are included; otherwise, it may not run properly.
