Code212 is the official coding center of Ibn Tofail University. It offers students the opportunity to learn and practice programming through structured, hands-on training programs no matter their academic background or skill level.

All Ibn Tofail University students are welcome to join Code212 programs. Whether you’re studying literature, science, law, or engineering, Code212 is open to everyone with an interest in digital skills.

No ! The Coding Discovery level is designed for complete beginners. No prior experience is needed, and no test is required to start.

The main programming language taught at Code212 is Python, chosen for its simplicity and wide applicability. You’ll also explore logic, algorithms, and real-world tools depending on your level. Yet, more trainings  are promised at Code212 From AI to WEB and more.

Code212 training is divided into three progressive levels :

Coding Discovery : for beginners

Intermediate : for those who pass Discovery or a placement test

Genius : advanced level, accessible via evaluation or placement test

Each level includes workshops, practical tasks, and ends with a final project.

Yes ! Code212 believes coding is a universal skill. Students from all faculties and departments are encouraged to participate.

Yes ! All Code212 programs are completely free for registered students of Ibn Tofail University.

Yes ! if you meet the criteria. For example, after completing Discovery, you can move on to the Intermediate level within the same year, provided you pass the evaluation or placement.

Most Code212 sessions take place in person on the university campus, in well-equipped labs. Occasionally, some activities or follow-ups are conducted online.
In addition, the Code212 National Platform offers students free programs that go beyond basic training providing a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.

🧑‍💻 Program Access & Eligibility :

Get information about how to join the Discovery, Intermediate, or Genius levels, whether you're a beginner or already have experience. Learn how placement tests and evaluations work.

You can enroll by registering online when registration opens for each level. Announcements are made on the Code212 website, social media, and university channels. Participation is free for Ibn Tofail University students.

Yes, you need to register, but there’s no test or selection process. The Discovery level is open to all students, especially beginners, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yes. If you already have some programming experience, you can take a placement test to qualify directly for the Intermediate or Genius level, depending on your performance.

The placement test is an online or in-person assessment that evaluates your coding knowledge and logic skills. Your results determine whether you qualify for the Intermediate or Genius level.

You are eligible for Intermediate if you have:

  • Successfully completed the Discovery level, or

  • Passed the placement test with a qualifying score.

The Genius level requires a higher placement test score or excellent performance in the Intermediate level. A rubric is used to assess your eligibility based on coding skills, problem-solving ability, and project outcomes.

No prior coding experience is required for Discovery. For Intermediate and Genius, coding knowledge is required, but there are no academic or faculty-based restrictions all university students are welcome.

Yes, places are limited to ensure quality training and personal support. We recommend registering early when enrollment opens.

Currently, Code212 programs are exclusively for enrolled students of Ibn Tofail University. External access is considered in the future through special initiatives.

Yes, students who do not complete a level successfully may be invited to rejoin in a future cycle, depending on availability and performance during the previous session. Contact Code <212> Administration !

🏆 Certificates & Pitch :

Understand the Pitch evaluation, how to qualify for certificates of completion or merit, and what’s expected in your final project presentation.

The Pitch is a final project presentation where students showcase the coding project they worked on during the training. It’s a key part of the evaluation process for Intermediate and Genius levels.

Yes !  Participants who complete the training and successfully pitch their final project receive a Certificate of Completion given by the university. Exceptional performers may receive a Certificate of Merit based on the quality of their work (5 stars ranking )

You’ll work on a real-world project, in a team, depending on the level. Projects should demonstrate the concepts and tools you learned during the training (e.g., Python apps, data analysis, or small web tools).

The Pitch is assessed based on:

  • Technical quality of the code

  • Creativity and relevance of the solution

  • Presentation and communication skills

  • Team collaboration (if applicable)

A rubric is used to ensure fairness and transparency.

Certificate of Completion : For students who finish the training and participate in the Pitch. You get scored Based on your Merit :

Certificates are usually distributed after the evaluation process, within 2 to 4 weeks following the final Pitch session.

No. The Pitch is mandatory to receive any certificate, as it reflects the application of your learning through a concrete project.

No. The Pitch must be based on a project developed during your Code212 training, guided by the program’s themes, timeline, and methodology.

Some Pitches may be featured in Code212 events, videos, or social media, with student permission. It’s a great way to highlight your work and gain visibility.

No obligation. You can present in Arabic or French as well. However, students are encouraged to include some English keywords or code explanations, especially if they’re aiming for advanced levels or professional exposure.

Code212 offers ongoing support through instructors, assistants, and peer collaboration. You'll have access to mentors during sessions and on digital platforms to help with exercises, projects, and technical challenges.

Yes. Depending on the level, optional review sessions and hands-on workshops are offered to help reinforce key concepts and prepare for the Pitch.
