About the Challenge

Following the overwhelming success of our past events, Code Nexus Labs 2025 returns with a mission to empower high school innovators like never before. This year’s hackathon challenges participants to design, build, and present tech solutions across three high-impact themes: Social Good, Healthcare, and Sustainability.

Whether it's improving access to mental health care, building tools to drive environmental action, or creating platforms that empower communities, this is your opportunity to tackle real-world problems using the power of code. We believe innovation begins with young minds—and this is your stage to shine. Expect a challenge that pushes your limits, unlocks your creativity, and celebrates bold, purpose-driven innovation.

Get Started

Dive into a journey of ideation, collaboration, and creation. Once you register: Start by selecting one of the three core themes that speaks to you most. Form a team or participate individually, and begin crafting your project. Throughout the event, you’ll have access to live Q&A sessions, expert-led workshops, and feedback from experienced developers, designers, and industry mentors to help guide your process.

No matter your experience level, we’re here to support your growth—from your first line of code to your final pitch. Submissions will be judged on creativity, impact, usability, and technical execution, with exciting prizes and recognition for top teams.

Any high school student, anywhere in the world, can be a part of Code Nexus Labs.
Whether you’re a beginner curious about the world of coding or a seasoned builder looking to test your skills in a real-world competition, this is your moment. You don’t need to be a tech genius—we welcome artists, storytellers, designers, researchers, and innovators of all kinds.
What matters is your passion to learn, collaborate, and make a difference. Code Nexus Labs is designed to be inclusive, beginner-friendly, and team-oriented. Even if you’ve never joined a hackathon before, this is the perfect opportunity to jump in, explore new tools, meet like-minded peers, and create something meaningful.

Requirements

What to Build

At Code Nexus Labs, you're encouraged to dream big and build projects that create real-world impact. Whether you’re developing a working prototype or presenting a well-researched, high-potential idea, we want to see solutions that align with one of our core themes: Social Good, Healthcare, or Sustainability.

You can:

Build a functional prototype or app using any programming language or platform of your choice, or
Present a concept pitch with detailed planning, mockups, and clear value propositions

The goal is to show your creativity, problem-solving approach, and real-world application. Working code is a plus but not mandatory—as long as your idea is well thought-out and clearly communicated.

What to Submit

To be eligible for judging, every team must submit the following:

✅ A 3-minute video explaining:

What your project does
Which theme it addresses
Who your team members are
The problem you're solving
Key features, impact, and future potential
(For prototypes) A short demo of your solution

✅ GitHub Repository (optional but encouraged)

Required only if you’ve built a working prototype
Include all relevant code, files, and documentation
Make sure your README clearly explains how to run or explore your project

✅ Team and Project Info Form

You’ll fill out this short submission form when uploading your video and (if applicable) GitHub link
