Essential Bootloader Update

It has been reported that on occasion, startup/boot problems can occur with some cards and their BBG counterparts. A failure investigation has indicated that the boot sequence error can occur in certain circumstances. This firmware update is for these products with and without DSP. Cobalt Digital offers a variety of current products that serve needs formerly served by discontinued products.

Fusion3G® 9900 Series Firmware

Some Fusion3G® models use either Type A or Type B firmware.

Two types of firmware are available as upgrades for Fusion3G® cards.
• Type A is for most Fusion3G® cards.
• Type B is only for Fusion3G® cards with a special build supporting advanced options such as +KEYER.

In DashBoard™, check the Product tab on your card for the Processor Type (A or B) and select the appropriate file to be uploaded.

OGCP-9000 / WinOGCP Firmware

Keep your OGCP-9000 Control Panel or WinOGCP Virtual Control Panel up to date by downloading the latest firmware listed below. (Firmware does not include option +LM. If your Control Panel is not currently licensed for Loudness Metering, it needs this license after the firmware upgrade to perform Audio Loudness Metering.)

It is recommended to copy your configuration file to a clipboard or file when upgrading control panel firmware. If configuration is lost upon device restart, paste the contents in the device configuration file as described in device Product Manual. Also, it is good practice to write down license key strings for options and also download any loudness session log files that might need to be saved.

SpotCheck® Firmware

Upgrading SpotCheck® is seamless. An upgrade retains all prior licensing, settings, logins, and configurations, as well as access to historical data/logs. Disruption during firmware upload is typically less than a few seconds.

• SpotCheck® with version 1.x.x firmware cannot be directly upgraded using the normal field upgrade procedure. In order to upgrade to versions 2.0 and greater an SLA is necessary. Contact [email protected] for more information on securing an SLA. If you already have an SLA and would like to upgrade, contact [email protected] for details.
• Version 2 releases support and require a Cobalt Support Level Agreement (SLA) license to be uploaded to SpotCheck prior to uploading this firmware version (upload will be rejected if SLA license is not installed). See “Licensing Management and Upgrades” in SpotCheck Product Manual for license uploading. Contact [email protected] for any further information.

BlueBox® Updater

BlueBox® units listed can be upgraded with the latest firmware using an Updater download, and then running the Updater with the BlueBox unit connected to the computer’s USB port. Easy instructions for using the Updater are included in the Release Notes.

BlueBox® BBGConfig

BBGConfig is a free USB remote control download app that can be used with BBG-DE-AA, BBG-EM-AA, and BBG-EMDE-AES models. A product manual for each unit may describe requirements, limitations, and installation instructions for BBGConfig.
