Project Overview

The proposed development is for purpose-built student accommodation on a site of 1.1Ha at Shanowen Road, Santry, Dublin 9.  The development is a Strategic Housing Development (SHD) on behalf of Ravenshire Ltd. / Collen Construction.

The development comprises 593 no. student beds in 72 student apartments and 88 studios across 5 blocks ; total gross floor area c. 18,500 sqm.

Blocks range in height from 4- to 6-storeys with brick elevations throughout.  A new active street frontage with main entrance is created onto Shanowen Road.

The development includes :

  • Communal areas include Lounge/Games areas, Gym, Cinema, Study spaces and Laundry to enhance the social experience of the residents
  • Student apartments with up to 8 no. single study/bedrooms with ensuite Shower/WC, together with communal Living/Dining/Kitchen space
  • Single occupancy and Twin Studios with ensuite shower/WC and including Kitchenette/Dining space and additional storage
  • Secure landscaped courtyard spaces for student activity and recreation
