We chose to focus our efforts on decarbonizing the building sector because it is estimated to account for approximately 40% of all global emissions, through the lifecycle of construction materials and the energy required to operate buildings. CO2e can have a significant impact on emissions reduction by being involved at the design stage of a new build or retrofit project.

Sustainable Design

We help lower the carbon footprint of the building by working with engineers, designers, constructors, architects and owners to integrate sustainability at the design stage.

We identify low carbon alternatives to emissions-intensive building materials.

We look for ways to promote the re-use and re-purposing of building materials, incorporate long-lasting, repairable materials and designing to minimize waste.

We integrate energy modeling findings and help clients to understand the relevance of metrics such as TEDI, EUI, GHGI, u-factor, SHGC, etc.

We help clients to assess the trade-off between up front embodied emissions and the present value of future operating emissions reductions.
