ABOUT CLIMARES
Climate Adaptation and Resilience Enhancement Strategies for Small-scale fisheries (CLIMARES) aims to improve climate resilience in South Africa’s small-scale fisheries. We do this by by using local, innovative forecasting methods and better understanding of how communities perceive climate-related changes in the ocean. This approach will help make fishing safer and more efficient, while also reducing emissions and protecting biodiversity.
CLIMARES is subsidized under the call international climate finance 2024 – Flemish International Climate Action Programme.
