IBM Client Access is IBM’s desktop connectivity suite for IBM i systems (formerly AS/400, iSeries, System i). It enables secure access from a PC to IBM i applications and data, combining terminal emulation, data transfer, printing, and system management tools to support end users, administrators, and developers.

Key capabilities:

• 5250 terminal and printer emulation (PC5250) with SSL/TLS support
• Data access providers (ODBC, OLE DB, and .NET; JDBC available in the modern client) and easy data transfer to and from spreadsheets and databases
• IBM i Navigator (Operations Navigator) for configuration and system management
• File and printer sharing through IBM i NetServer and integrated file system mapping
• Remote command execution, scripting, and session management
• Operations Console support for maintenance and recovery tasks
